Put your cooled butter in a bowl and add in the sugar and flour and beaten eggs. Stir until mixed thoroughly. Add the chocolate chips, walnuts and vanilla extract to the mixture.
Pour into prepared pie crust and bake in 325° oven for 1 hour.

Notes: Serve with whipped cream (my favorite) or a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I like to serve warm and some like to brush the top of the pie slice with a little bourbon.
