Cheesecake Brownies


  • 1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter
  • 12 oz. bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar


  • 1-8 oz. pkg. cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • pinch salt


  1. Melt the butter and the chocolate chips in the microwave. Cool slightly and set aside.
  2. Beat the eggs, salt and sugar in mixing bowl until light and fluffy about 3 minutes. Stir in the melted butter and chocolate chips and the flour. Stir until well blended.
  3. Pour this mixture into a 9 x 13″ pan that you have sprayed with vegetable oil.
  4. Topping: Beat the cream cheese and the 1/2 cup sugar until well blended. Add in the egg and the vanilla extract, salt, and stir and scrape down bowl until it is creamy. Add tablespoonfuls of this mixture to the top of the chocolate batter. Using a knife, run it through the mixture until you have it marbleized on top.
  5. Bake in 350° for 35-40 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few crumbles attached to it.
