Chocolate Pecan Cobbler

Ingredients

  • 1/3 c. unsalted butter melted
  • 1 c. pecans chopped
  • 3/4 c. whole milk
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 2 1/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2-3/4 c. mini chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 c. light brown sugar packed
  • 1 1/2 c. hot water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

    Spray baking spray in a 9x13 baking pan, then pour butter into pan and sprinkle with chopped pecans.

    In a large bowl whisk together the milk, vanilla and sugar. Add in the flour, baking powder and salt and whisk until just combined.Spoon batter over the butter and pecans, be careful and don't disturb the butter. Sprinkle on the chocolate chips.

    Sprinkle the brown sugar over the batter. Gently pour the water over the batter and sugar. Bake forĀ 30-35 minutes. Cool forĀ 10 minutes before serving with ice cream or whipped cream.
